Installation at an Authorized Mitsubishi Motors Dealer can be done anytime within the MMSCAN New Vehicle Limited Warranty period to receive coverage for the full basic warranty period. Installations completed at non-Authorized Mitsubishi Motors Dealers are covered under the Parts Warranty for parts only for 12 months or 20,000 kilometres, whichever occurs first.
Mitsubishi Authorized Parts and Accessories sold "over the counter" to parts wholesalers or other retailers are warranted against defects in material or workmanship for 12 months or 20,000 odometer kilometres, whichever occurs first, from date of installation. For an example of how to submit warranty claims on failed parts (or accessories) sold over the counter, see the Warranty Claim Entry Guide. Evidence of the original purchase must be retained in dealership files. Under the terms of the Parts and Accessory warranty, labour, towing to the nearest dealer, or collateral damage to the vehicle, may only be claimed if the failed part was installed by a Mitsubishi dealer.
Mitsubishi Authorized Parts and Accessories installed on Mitsubishi products after delivery are warranted against defects in material or workmanship, for the unexpired term of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty or if more favourable, for the Parts and Accessories Warranty of 12 months or 20,000 odometer kilometres from the date of installation, whichever occurs first. Under the terms of Mitsubishi Motors' Parts and Accessory warranty, labour, towing to the nearest Mitsubishi dealer, or collateral damage to the vehicle, may only be claimed if a Mitsubishi dealer installed the failed part.
